Building A Building emerged out of the research into the origin of the different ingredients which were used to construct the new office building of SD Worx in Hasselt, Belgium. The visual narrative of this archaeological search for the raw materials goes from the basic resource to the final construction products, along the way, climbing over the mountains of matter, wandering through the quarries and following the production processes, transport and stocking up of the products in the different factories. The result of this 30,000km long quest gives us insight in the usually invisible but necessary actions and gestures for building a building. Archeology
