This book is published on the occasion of the exhibition 'Haute Culture. A Retrospective, 1969-1994', organized by ARC/Musée d'Art moderne de la Ville de Paris, February 11 - April 30, 2011, and the Art Gallery Toronto, July 16, 2011 - January 1, 2012. This volume presents an overview of the Canadian collective's bold mingling of reality and fiction and their frequently transgressive, parodic incursions upon both art and society.
