Nomeda & Gediminas Urbonas are artists, educators, researchers, and co-founders of the Urbonas Studio, an interdisciplinary research practice that facilitates exchange amongst diverse nodes of knowledge production and artistic practice in pursuit of projects that transform civic spaces and collective imaginaries. This book has been published on the occasion of the exhibition at the Museo d'Art Contemporani de Barcelona from 14 March to 15 June 2008. In the last eight years projects such as Transaction, Ruta Remake, Pro-test Lab and Villa Lithuania have revealed the combination of models, positions and structures which remain infinitely open, and whose material elements can function as devices for action.
